The very tallented Leeann Pearce sent me some of her fabulous new chippy designs to have a scrappy play with!! So far I have created 3 layouts - 2 are sitting on my desk waiting ever so impatiently to be played with and finished! I loved them all espically the little birdyhouse and the owls (which i havent finished yet) SOOOO CUTE! Leeann has even started up an etsy store so you can grab some for youself and have some fun with - she also has some other awesome handmade embelishments made by nonother than herself. So if your looking to spoil yourself or need some more supplies just because go and check out her new stash of chippys at the chip chop shop!

Its's my faviourite time of the year! I only wish that School holidays weren't so expensive with child care and OSHC fees. Oh well keeps the boys entertained and playing with their friends! They love school holidays. :)

Its also that time of the month - SO GET ON OVER TO ASJ! and get a jacking ther are 3 fabbo jackees this month And a first for me I scrapped all three.

I could give alot of excuses at to why i haven't blogged in over a month.... but the truth is I suck at it!!! I always have stuff i could blog about and layouts to post but I'm waaayyy to busy blog hopping and playing on facebook. Sad huh. lol

lots happening.... turned 32!! AGGHH ! scary how life starts passing you buy so quickly. I got this little beauty...

I soooo love it!!! It is a full High definition cam corder you can take 12mp photos while your recording and you can record in slow motion which is the funniest thing ever invented!! I recorded a friends wedding and took ALOT of photos for them and it turned out awesome! I'm very impressed with it! And the photo quality is just amazing and so crisp and life like. now i just need a blu ray burner and I'm set! (wish full thinking there)

I did have a choice between that and a Making memories slice. I figured i could easily stash away $20 here and there to save for a slice. don't ya think??!!!! lol

Here is my layout for Aussie scrapjacked this month. Better posted late than never i guess. It was a free for all this month and i chose to scrapp Leanne A. I'm really drawn to her layouts as she has a similar style to me and well i just love her layouts really!!

And my 2 layouts from Creative Edge, i ha vent quite finished my album, just a couple more pages to go before its complete. This was the Steph C-Devlin class, i converted mine to an 8x11.5 size, it was suppose to be a 12 x 12 size, but i haven't scrapped that size in almost 2 years. It was an awesome class and i learnt alot from her.

This is the layout from Janine K's class. another one converted to my scrapping size, this was a really fun class and learnt lots of techniques about re creating flowers and changing the colour and style of flowers. I love them both and the entire day was fast paced and fun!

September Jacks are up! And geepers there are some really really awesome jacks from the DT - you have gotta head on over and check out the talent! here is my version of Kim Arnolds layout:

There are actually 2 jackees this month! I choose this particular photo of me and my dad when i was 4. (I think maybe i was 3). I remember the carousel they use to take me on I think it might have been at Glenelg back in the day. Hence why there is a lack of journalling. I will have to ask him exactly where and when it was so i can re do the journalling. I dont remember this photo - bu look how impressed and happy i look. I don't have many photos of me and my dad when i as little. This one is a fav of mine. It is in colour, but its typical 70's stlye of colours and very dull. So i changed it to B&W.

So much has been happening of late. We got a new car!!!! (back in JULY) Its really noice. Black - hard to keep it lookin nice - big rims and really smick interior. Full leather in black. mmmm how will i cope in summer!!????? I will have to post a photo of it - but I luuuurrrrvvee it!

I got a new job and I'm totally loving it. I'm now working at Riverland Optical in the plaza - so come say hi if you ever drop by Renmark! It has been full on and sooo much to learn - but I'm getting there and really enjoying the challenge. It was all totally japanese to me at first but its all making sense now and I'm feeling confident! and My boss and his wife are incredibly nice :)

I have a couple of other layouts to post but feeling lazy and Cohen is begging me to play Guess Who with him!

Oh and I'm off to CREATIVE EDGE on Sunday! Yippee! I'm really looking for ward to it and get to meet Janine K and Steph Caskey Devlin!!!!! and Kate Mason who i teaching a class and we are making a prima canvas 9x9 album - YES a full album - go Kate! what a challenge that will be! Kate was one of our Jacks a couple of months ago. :) Tatum and her sis will also be there so It will be great to finally meet her too!

I am going to have to post photos of the finished products next week!

I SCRAPPED!!!! Oh and I am blogging! yup hold onto your hats........... My mojo finally decided to give me the motivation to scrap. And not only did i scrap a layout but i scrapped 5!!

We went to Mildura and I bought some Basic Grey papers and that let the lightbulb flick! I don't normally buy bg papers but these screamed out pretty girl and I knew just the girl I was going to scrap with them - my great neice Teliesha. She is my sisters grandaughter and she is the sweetes cutest and bossiest darling i know. so onto the layouts. In no particular order. :)

This layout above Is in the current Scrapbook creations for the Show and tell feature. Im really glad it made it in there as my layout is gone. :( It was lost before it made it to the photographer. Which im a bit bummed about as the scanned image on my computer is the only evedence that I scrapped it. It hasn't been the best experience....

Here is a very very late show case of the July Aussie scrapjacked!!! Its up on the brand new site. Ok Ok so its not so brand new but Its still sparkly new!!! If you havent played along on Aussie scrapjacked you are really missing out - they scrap the best jakcers and I always look at it and think 'I can't scrap that its not my style'....... but i always mangae to do a me version of it. I decided to scrap this layout that really is a lot of little layouts. It is stored in a collectors card sleve pocket. You know the ones you put basketball cards and suff in........

I really have a good excuse for not blogging. I forgot my password. I must have somehow saved something different in logins... not too sure how i managed that. And really i haven't had any scrappy stuff to sing about!!

Boring, I know. I haven't' scrapped a thing since my last blog up date and quite frankly I feel like I've lost my mojo. Depressing hey.

I spent most of the weekend curled up in a ball sleeping. My appendix decided to have another sapck attack! Michael took me to the hospital , but because i didn't really have much of a temp they decided to leave it in and drug me up. So in between throwing up, aching like crazy I slept. I did go back to the hospital and he did say i was worse but they left them in again. If it happens again I wont be leaving, I'm not going through that again!!!!!

I'm going to try really hard to scrap on the weekend. Really I am. I'm missing it. We are going to go see Angels and demons on sat night. Can't wait to see that! Then I'm going to read the book, that way i wont be disappointed with the movie. Well that's what i figure anyway!

Cohen turned 4 on Saturday!!!! He has been having a countdown the week leading up to it. Its been a real milestone turning for him. He is a big Kindy boy now! And he is loving that. But he cant stop talking about turning 5 and 6 now! Oh Cohen don't grow anymore. I really enjoy having him at home and when he goes to school it will be way to quiet for me........

I will have to scrap a photo of him blowing out his birthday candles while hiding behind Michaels leg - was so cute! Little shy guy!

There is a huge exciting secret scrapping secret happening over at Aussie Scrapjack!!!

If you keep checking tomorrow all will be revealed!!! Its fan - bloody - tastic! I promise you will be impressed. So don't forget to check tomorrow!!!! eeeeeek.

Ok so here is my Black apple doll I Stitched up. After receiving one from Sheree, I instantly fell in love with them - they are soooo cute!

I bought some stuff from a lady at work who sells the Kazazz scrapping goodies. I bought a scripted stamp - cant wait to use that!!! And a clearly scrapping card kit. It was really good value. It came with clear a4 sheets as well as white card stock for cards.

Anyways i decide to try a clear layout. I have been a little afraid of trying these out but i did and it turned out pretty good. Well I'm happy with it!! What do ya think? I think i will be doing another one.

Its kinda hard to tell where the edges were so I inked all the edges and i wasn't really sure where to photograph it? any suggestions for next time??? I don't have my editing software on my new laptop so I couldn't' do a thing with any photos. So I will just have to persevere until i get my programme back.

This weekend we had Bon and Marios wedding. It was a fantastic weekend. I took loads of pictures - yet blogger wont upload my pictures properly some of them are turned. Sorry bout that.

I really love this photo of Jarred and I and I'm definitely going to scrap this one.

And here is all the family on the page side. There were more but some were already at the hotel have a few beverages!! And frosty the photographer! He just kept getting in the way all day!! ha ha ha he did a fantastic job!

How could i forget to add Michael and his infamous Barra!!! It was a whopper of a fish 125cm and weighed 52 pound or 23.5 kg!! He said he was struggling to hold it long enough for this photo to be taken! Would have loved to have seen him reel it in.

And yay for me i won a rak from Sherees blog! I will take a photo of the gorgeous doll and blog that one! Cheers Sheree - go visit her blog here gorgeous family she has there.

We this week has been a much better week for us here in the Arnet household. The new issue of Scrapbooking Memories came out - aaannnnnddd my first 2 ever layouts have been published together in the same issue!!! Even better there is one each of my precious boys! Here are the two layouts hope you like them:

The new challenge is up on Aussie scrapjacked. So get on over and join in to win some fabulous prize! If you have a child that is a scrapbooker they too can now join in! How great is that! And it is the most talented Ruby Blisson that has been scrapjacked this month! Here is my take on her awesome layout: I recently got some of Leanne Pearces new chippys in the post and I love them! I'm not really big on chipboard - usually but these were so easy to think about and I have done two layouts that I'm most happy with and are in the throws of completing another!!

On the weekend I went to a hens night in mildura - so it kinda spilled into a weekend do and i want to thank all the girls who were there for the funnest night i have had in years! I haven't laughed that HARD in forever!!! I even won a prize at O'Malleys for my wicked air guitar playing!!

Sorry to all the blog land readers. I have had a very busy and eventful few weeks. So here it all is dot form:

Easter - we went camping at Lindsay island with another family - was a great few days. We came back early as i had to work on the Sunday. :(
Michael left for Northern Territory to go barra fishing at roper river.
I worked and family helped out by having the kids. Very grateful.
Worked all weekend.
Took the kids to Mildura for a couple of days - we had a great time and went with Michaels sister and her two boys.
Came home on Tuesday night. Watched TWILIGHT on blu ray - yee haa!!!!
Sadly Elly our gorgeous little little darling Pomeranian was bitten by a snake. We think. We had a very quiet few days. The boys are devastated so are we and we miss our Elly bomb very much. She was full of life and was a crazy tiny thing. Love you Elly.
Michael called and said they were driving home!!!! YAY!
He caught a very large barramundi called a horse - apparently they are a fisherman's dream catch. He also caught a shark. As the rivers are tidal and hold saltwater fish as well as fresh.
We drove to Adelaide to meet up with the fishermen and sayed in Adelaide for a couple of days. Shopped and went to the movies, spent time with Luke - Michaels brother.
School went back and i went back to work today

So here we are. Loads happened in between but with our Elly passing everything is forgotten.

I have a new laptop and have no layouts stored on here - I did scrap a little in between. So here is the monster barra Michael caught. I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter and holidays. I will be back with happier news and some scrapping!!! Oh and keep a lookout for the next issue of scrapbooking memories I have my first two layouts in print!!! TWO in volume 11 issue 3

I get to be Guest DT'er for SCRAPBOXX for March!! Woo Hoo! When Maria asked me i thought at first it was a mistake, and i couldn't believe it. But i quickly answered yes of course so she couldn't change her mind!! HA HA HA HA I had sooo much fun playing around with the kit - which incidently is for sale now in the store. I even get to do a sketch challenge for March - which you can join in HERE and win a voucher for the boxx shop. How cool is that!!

Just a conversation between Jarred and I. Wanted to record it as it made my heart smile.

I had taken jarred to the dentist and they had pulled out a tooth that had been hanging on by a thread for over 6 months, the new tooth had grown through already and he was a little frightened to pull it out - so they numbed his gum and yanked it out. Lots of tears and quite a bit of blood as the gum had grown to the tooth and attached to the dead gum and tooth. Gross i know.......

so i took jarred home and on the way stopped for some lunch at a store on the way home. As we were pulling out a young guy was pulling out and staring at me - like really staring at me.

me: What is that guy staring at?

me: Sheesh he is still staring

jarred: probly coz your so gorgeous!

me: ha ha Jarred your funny (meantime my heart just melted)

jarred: What! its really true mum.

oh he can be so sweet and say the nicest things just at the right time.

My sweet boy. Love him.

Slack blogger!

Hmmm i think i fit in that category! Have had a very busy couple of weeks. We are smack bang in the middle of harvest and haven't seen much of my Husband. :( He has either been and work, sleeping or home while I'm at work. So any spare time has been spent lounging on the lounge together or sleeping.

Jarred turned 7 -YES!! 7 - how did that happen? I'm such a slacker and haven't uploaded any photos, but we have had one excited boy on our hands. He is in between playing batman Lego on the ps3 or listening to music and trying every dvd he owns on his new home theatre thing. (yes i am technical savvy - that's all i know it as he he he).

Been working lots during the day so I'm too buggered at night to blog, blog hop or leave comments when i have visited. And I'm very sorry - as i know how happy it makes us to read lovely comments by our visitors!!

I have done some scrapbooking - but nothing i can share - yet!. am in the middle of doing a layout and I'm having a break from it so I'm blogging. I found a very very gorgeous layout on Leanne S's blog and I'm scrap lifting that also as we speak - type.

Kim Archer and Jane from crafty matters have joined forces and created a fundraiser workshop where all proceeds are donated to the Victorian bushfire appeal. Its a pfd file of printable tags and journal spots and it is just gorgeous!!! I have printed mine off and started (yet again!) a layout featuring them. Awesome idea and i hope they go well with it. I also added a class that i have been meaning to do - the fresh vintage one. I haven't started it yet but I'm all prepared and have even bought some packing tape!! LOL

I don't know whats wrong with my scrapping lately. I pumped out 5 layouts in two days, and ever since then, I managed to start a few layouts, and haven't finished them. So not like me. Once i start one i have to finish it there and then. I never leave layouts unfinished..... I guess at least i will have something to do over the weekend hey!!

mmmm all this typing and i have no pictures to share. :(

I really am starting to convince myself that i must have some kind of obsessive compulsive compulsion for Twilight. I check out the new moon the movie site almost daily. And i have no filppin idea why. Ok. I do, Robert Patterson is hot. Yes i do realise that. Oh and Taylor Lunther is hot too. I just am sooo addicted to these blasted books. Surly I'm not the only one? So to get the obsessive compulsive compulsions out of the way - here he is in all his glory.

*sigh*

And just because this blog is mainly about my scrapbooking (and my new found twilight addiction :) ) Here is some scrappin!!

This is my latest lo. I used an oldie Scrapboxx kit from July (i think maybe June) last year. Beautiful beautiful kit too!!! And my favourite photo of my boys and My SIL two gorgeous boys. :)

And here is my march effort for AUSSIE SCRAPJACJED!!!!! and the Jackee for march was the super talented Helen K.! I really really love scrap jacking her layout. I used some of the kit for feb from Lime Tart. Its the Laundry line from My Minds Eye. yummo stuff.

Just sharing two layouts i done today. Just because I can. Nothing out of the ordinary happening.

Oh I forgot to mention Jarred went to his first Blue Light Disco (gulp) on friday night. It was espically for the yr 1- 7. He He He i kept his ticket!!! I will scrap it!!! I picked him up and he didn't want to go. he was having waaaaaay to good a time to leave. Im sure there will be more. (bighting nails). He is surly growing way to quickly'

This little set of books (actually they are not little!!) has taken up my entire being the last 9 days. My husband draged me to the movies to watch it and i instantly loved it and bought the first book the next day. Half way through that it dawned on me - when i finish this i wont have the next one to start and soooo the obsession began.

Sad hey.

So my suggestion to you is GO GET THE DARN SET NOW, you will cry. you will laugh, and you will most certainly fall in love. It is better than titanic. I compare it to titanic because two people fall instantly in love and they both come from different worlds and the universe does not want them to be together. I am definatly a team Edward member. Although Jacob does have some rather hot qualities.

ok enough of the obsession.

I have some really really exciting newses coming up. Not just news coz it pural there are multipal news - es!!

My very first layout acceptances are going to print and so quickly. I thought it would take months and months. And the othere 2 i am bursting to spit out. but im not sure i can just yet. Soon though. :)

I recently purchased two lime tart kits. OMG! They are just perfectly thrown together. I havent' used one of them yet but the first one is just so yummy. Here are two layouts i created from allthe yummyness!

They have loads of My mind eye papers in them and everything just co ordinated beautifully together. I have more but havent loaded them onto the computer as yet. Will do though.

Jarreds school is having a blue light disco for receptions to yr 7's tonigh and he is allowed to go (bighting nails here) He is very very excited about it. And so the social life begins. :)

I recently acquired a brand new mobile phone and I LOVE it!! its an lg the 'secret'. Its a very handy little thing. It has a 5mp camera on it and the photos are really great quality, you would hardly tell if they were from a point and shoot camera or not. Im very impressed with it. Its a very tircky little number and can convert into a touch screen phone. Its so technical and modern for me!!

Devistating.

The bushfires in Victoria have been deeply devistating. I had lots of 'news' to post. But feel so inappropriate and trival.

My heart goes out to the families who have lost lives and homes. I cannot imagine what you are going through. I did read or hear somewhere that there was a fire at Naree Warren, that is where Fleur and her family live. I have left her a message praying they are ok and safe.

There have been amazing stories of courage and survival. I hope to hear more.

February scrapjacked its up!!!!

Hey there blogging world! the new feb jack is up today!! And the fabulous jackee is Kate Mason, And while this style is sooo not in my cofort zone I soooo love scrapping it! I chose to do an old photo of my boys. It is a photo of Jarred and Cohen on the day that Cohen was born. Such a very very proud moment for Jars and us. Cohen was a very sick baby when he was born, They had a plane on standby ready to fly him to adelaide - He had no oxygen in his blood which made him quite ill. I can't remember off the top of my head the name of the condition but He was not allowed out of the humi crib at all. They were pumping his little body full of oxygen. So the nurses thought he needed a little hug and gave jarred the privilage of the first cuddle. Not mummy, not daddy, but his big brother. As you can see in the photo jarred was sooooo proud!.

Im leaving it short and sweet, we are all very sick in this house today. Cohen had a viral infection on sunday and monday, passed it to michael who passed it onto me. But on top of the viral infection i have inflamed tonsils which are very very sore and im feeling so very very sorry for myself. I have slept for two days straight and have no energy. I hope when i wake up tomorrow im on top of the world.

Has it really been that long....???

Wow it has been 12 days since i blogged last. Whoppsie!! I have just been soooo busy and haven't been on the net at all!! Well that's probably a lie. I think i done a quickly blog hop twice in the last 2 weeks. We have been up to loads of mischief ;) So much in fact that i will dot blog

mmmm what have we been doing....

oh For the long weekend we went to Adelaide and stayed with some friends of ours. They have a town house down the road from the Zoo and It was the bestest weekend we have had in a long time. They are fellow Riverlanders too, but were down their for state softball (which got cancelled - just their team) Which was unfortunate but worked out great. Mel and I found the most awesome little boutique on Melbourne street that had 50 - 75 % off the entire store!!! We got some great stuff there. My best buy was a pair of heels handmade by an Adelaide designer that i instantly fell in love with and are unusually very very comfortable! They deserve a photo blog all on their own. I just love them. Sat night my mum baby sat our and their kids - did i mention that our kids get on soooo great and are the best of friends?? We went out for tea on Melb street and then headed into Unley to a club called Boho. Now if you haven't been to boho I suggest you do just to check out the decor. Awesome!! they have decked the entire place out old school theatre go circus and it just looks great. Complete with a naked trapeze artist on a hoop which is actually a converted chandelier. Mels brother Ace works there and was feeding us cocktails allllll night. Mmmmmm they were great - thanks Ace!! Then we headed to the Casino - not out cup of tea at all. But was not what we expected. We spent 3 hours at the blackjack table - had a ball and came out even steven!!! and walked home. Which was to our benefit as we sobered up just in time. Took the kids to glenelge beach on Sunday and had a great day. Had tea at hogs breath cafe - uggh at way tooo much but how can you not the food is always awesome there. and Monday bummed around the townhouse and went to harbour town for a wee bit more shopping.

Jarred returned to school Tuesday and was really excited to go. He loves his teacher which is great and he has slipped right back into school mode! LOL

Its been unbelievable hot here like 48 - 49 here at Renmark North even thought the news is saying only a balmy 42 - Hell no, not here it ain't!

We have been swimming heaps down at the houseboat - which has been a real blessing we are so lucky to have it so close to our house. Although the river is like bath water at the moment. But still keeping us cool.

I have been working on my project 52 and finally took photos of the cover and week 1 &2.

This months scrapjacked is up ........ and the jackee for the start of a wonderful year is Sarah Gladmann!!! She is an awesome scrapbooker and i have been lurking on her blog lately. ( :P )

Here is my version of her layout:

I would add a picture of her layout - but i couldn't figure out how to do it!! Ha Ha Ha. So tech savvy aren't I .

I have seriously been thinking about doing the project 365..... but i don't think i could commit to a photo everyday. Life is busy, I think i will try and do project 52 instead. that seems more commttable to me. Is that even a word?? I have 2 photos for week 1 already. I just have to get my butt in gear and stick them in the art journal i bought. I think i will have to make a Janelle wind journal cover for it.......I'm very envious of the girls out there that can commit to 365 days of photo taking, scrapbooking, and journalling...... If i had no problem scrapbooking EVERYDAY i would defiantly do it for myself.

I hope you all enjoyed the festive season. Its all over for another year..... I have been thinking about this easter chrismas thing... I seriously think that they got it the wrong way around and I think that christmas should be a 4 day celebration thing, with no pressure like easter. Yep I think thats a grand idea. 4 days for christmas. Imagine that - you could see everyone no rushing around, relaxing for 4 whole days..... that would be my ideal chrismas. Oh and a little snow thrown in for good measure. And just because i think it looks pretty :) Thats one of my goals this year. No resolutions for me just goals. A family holiday to the snow. All my goals bar 1 were met last year. A family holiday. Every year we aim to do it, and time just slips away.

Oh I said the dreaded word..... apparently hot cross buns are going to be making an appearance from January 5th onwards.... WTF!!!??? Hang on did i miss something.... isn't Easter in April this time around. That's over four months away!! I think every ones gonna be way over hot cross buns by then... Don't ya think.

Just let me get over Christmas and New years yet.

We had a wonderful Christmas day. We left the house at 8.20am and didn't return until 11.30pm. We were soooo tired. It would have been so nice for the boys to enjoy their presents before we had them packed in the car and off for the day. But they still enjoyed themselves. I didn't get many photos of the day. Was way to busy enjoying the atmosphere.

So much has happened since i blogged last i can't think straight! LOL.

So I will just share some layouts i have managed to scrap lately.

This one is Michael detecting on his birthday. I realised that i forgot the title and have since added it. only small under the right bottom corner that says detector.

This is a layout from the fabulous Mrs Pearce free online class over on the boxx. I haven't shared it there yet. It is one of Kelly playing the piano on Christmas day for us she has a little assistant - Teliesha little cutie pie. Kelly is playing Santa clause is coming to town - hence the title. GREAT class using watercolour pencils. So out of my 'thing'. Loads of fun to do.

The last two have taken ages. they are inspired by Belinda. I love her layout of Miss M's Christmas wish list. And there sure were alot of strips in this set of papers. I love the life at the pole range. Is it bad of me to do the same page for each of my boys??? I love doing 12x6'' pages. So quick and fun.

Well that's all from me. I didn't have much say but it turned into a long post. Have to go decide what we are going to do tomorrow night....... decisions decisions......

I can't believe it's been over a week since i blogged!! I have just been so busy - nothing special - just living.

We went to Mildura for the weekend for a 50th and caught up with family and friends and it was fantastic!! Except I forgot to pack the camera. Yeah i know what kind of a scrapbooker am I!!!??? We tried to go shopping but there were just too many people around, so we gave that a miss. I did go into target to grab a couple of things and it took me 20 mins to get served!!! I'm so glad all my shopping is done. I went into spotlight and bought some goodies for myself. just scrap stuff. And some faux suede and white felt to make an Amy Butler Snow mum pillow. I finished it in one night!!! I love it. I did decide to make it for my mum for chrissy so I will post the pic i took of it just in case she decides to drop in on my blog....... Amy butler has some fantastic FREE patterns to download for the holiday season. MMMMM yes you read right FREE!! And they are all amazing and beautiful. There is a chrissy tree skirt i downloaded and am going to make. Not enough time for this year though.

Christmas is not sneaking up at all.... Its arriving at the speed of light. I'm almost organised just have to wrap everything up. Which will be a marathon effort in itself. I don't like that part.

I decided a while ago that i would join in with Ali Edwards and start a December daily album. I knew that I wouldn't be able to commit to what she was doing - 25pages for the lead up to Christmas. So I decided that i would do a random December daily album. I bought a faux leather 4x6 album from big w and use that to make a small album. I have only done 3 pages!!! ha ha ha yeah i know I'm soooo committed! But i thought i would do just random things we do during December. I have a couple more pages in progress but will add that later....

Here are the three i have done so far

I think im over school holidays already. The kids are bored.... Bring on christmas i say. That will keep em occupied for a while.... I hope!! ha ha ha I hope your all surviving. Although im loving spending time with the boys. Jarred has agreed to 'volunteer' to read everyday to help with his reading - so far so good... his aim is to get ben 10 dvds! Hes is doing fantastic for a boy who would cry over doing his reader for homework. He has finised a rather hard book that had alot of pages in it and im really impressed. Lets see how long it will last. All holidays im hoping. Good on you Jars!!!

Just a quick share a lo for the weekly challenge that leeann set on the boxx for this week. You had to scrap a funny christmas photo but also it had to be a 6x12''. So this is my effort.

Love this size and a great challenge. Michael took this pikky of me on his phone. The kids thought it was real funny that mum had Jarred's new reindeer antlers and flashing nose on! So i had to make the Photo specky!! LOL

Oh and a special congrats to all the masters for 2008 But especially to TAMMY!! Way to go girl your awesome!! Love your stuff hun! Oh and Kathie Link another awesome boxx girl!!!! Oh and Lynette van Barrelo another Scrapjacked dt member! WOW 2 jacked DT members and the last jackee!!! Shees there is so much tallent on that list! Im itching to see the whole mag and all the HM....... so excited for them.

Its Michales birthday today, so I'm off the computer to spend the night snuggling and watching the boxx, we had BBQ tea and pavlova down at Burt Dix park to celebrate with family. Had to rush home on dusk and the mozzies came out in full force. It was sooo strange there were thousands of them it was like they were on a serious mission!! Michale and Andrew stayed and coin detected for a while. Michael has come home with a few bucks and a couple of 1c coins. Andrew found gold coins and a gents ring with a diamond (we think) in it. Lucky buggers!

I did say i was going to spill the beans on my secret... but i have been missing in all the action!! Just had so much on and havent had time to scratch!!!

I still am hanging onto my little secret. Will share later tonight if im not home too late. The Christmas Padgent is on tonight (im working till 8 grrrr) and the fireworks are on at 8.45 so I will be out with my little family watching that! Im always interested to see the kids reactions to the fireworks. Cohen has slept right throught them the last couple of years. See how he goes tonight!

But right now Im off to the school assembly as jarred is one of the speakers for it!!!!!!!!! This is his first time at helping host the assembly. Im excited for him and cant wait to see him stand up with the mircrophone! Its a late assembly 10am. Not sure why. odd.

On that note i better go and get organised!!

Just want to add..... I am in the throws of doing a layout of the boys wish list for christmas, so last night i asked the boys what they would like. Jarred came up with the usual requests and threw in that he would really like a butterfly net! What the??!! And Cohens list was rather unusual. Clothes, a tv (they already have one in their room????) songs (i thing he wants cd's) and get this - A bird called Birdyduck! mmmm interseting Cohen. Something that I really really want to scrap to get it recorded!! - how funny and weird is that!

Have your kids got any unusual requests for christmas? I'd love to hear what they are asking for.

Here are the little christmas tags i 'lifted' from the blog i mentioned in my last post. I have added my own twist to them for a couple of the kids. Used my cuttlebug for the skull and the hearts. Man I love that tool.

I made this 40th birthday card for my sister. not for her but she asked me if could make on for her, big enough for a group to sign. I really like the finished product. She LOVED it and made me a cd and sent it in the post! thanks sis love ya! xx

I have just returned from the hairdressers. A much needed pampering! I was starting to become the re-growth queen!!! I feel soooo much better.

Last night was the fourth installment of the Sheree Mcgee classes - beginners classes. Now im not a beginner scrapbooker but i thought i would join for fun and who knows i might learn something new........ Every lesson I have learnt something new! It has just been fantastic and ive really really been enjoying the 'chats' with the other ladies in the classroom. If you havent done an online class before you should! even though there is only 2 lessons left you can still join and still have access the classes that we have previously done. And guess what?! It's FREE! How generous is that of Maria! There is of course the option of buying the kit which is really really great and has every product you will need to complete all six lessons. You can check out the class here.

I have not yet mastered the art of linking. Lou did help me out but i couldn't work out how to do it that would just have a word instead of the entire link. Like above, how would i just get it to say -here- and highlighted purple instead of the entire thing. Or if i wanted to link to someones blog i would just want to put there name hightlighted. Do you get what i mean? Can someone help me out?

I saw some amazing little christmas tags on the Anna's craft cupboard blog. Fran made the with her cuttlebug red tag sale alpha die (just the tag die) and scalloped the bottom with the fiskars threading water punch and the just look great. I will take a photo of them and post them later. They turned out so cute and im going to add all the kids names to them for their chrissy prezzies. Do you make your own tags or just buy them? I have always bought them but this year iv made my own and it feels good!

(i dont know why this is underlined - i don't know how i done it and cant seem to undo it - still working this blogging thing out)

I do want to leave you with all four of the layouts i done for the classes. As they go i will add the layouts at a later date.

Silly blogger (must be a man) put all my layouts here in the wrong order that i selected them in. Maybe its me and should i do it backwards next time??!!!

This is from the class last night -lesson 4. We had a super tallanted guest teacher too you can probably guess who it was by the signature stitching!!! Yes it was Leeann Pearce - so very full of knowledge and such a laugh too! This is not at all my style of scrapping - but i am there to learn so i done everything in the class. Its rather full on looking for me but I love it and had a ball stitching and ripping! Thanks girls.

This was lesson 3 stamping. I love stamping and have a small collection -bit of an understatement...... it was layering you stamping. Such fun and again i learnt something i would never have tried. And it turned out pretty darn alright! It is a photo of two very cute kids. Cohen and my eldest neice Jessica - she is such a loving stunning girl!

lesson 2 was distressing and inking. I knew all about distressing and inking the edges but had a blast during this. Is a photo of cohens teny tiny foot when he was a week old. Sock fluff and all!!! I sill after all this time scrapbooking ink and distress my pages. A great technique that i will always use over and over.

Lesson 1 was introducing scrapbooking. just the basics - matting your photo and a journal spot. simple and easy. I decided to do this photo of my sister and I when I was one. Its a typical 70's photo very yellow. I tried to fix the quality of the shot but i just decied to do it in its orriginal form. I added my own flavour to this class.

Well that was a rather loooong post. Congrats if you got through it all!

I do have a little something to share and im ITCHING to get started with but i will have to save it for a future blog episode. I have a six yr old boy who just got off the school bus and wants to tell me all about swimming lessons at school!

Next is an older photo of Jarred when he was 2. He look so little its hard to remember him this small. I found this photo and thought it would go great with the Basic grey stickers. I bought the stickers thinking they were so cute - but then couldn't scrap them! Do you ever buy scrap stuff and do that??

This is the mini puddings we made on Friday. Drew stayed over the night as it the teachers strike. The strike got cancelled but we kept them off school anyway. I thin 9pm at night is a bit late to announce the cancellation of the strike - don't you think!!?

I love the look on Jarreds face such enthusiasm!!

Christmas is approaching.......

SO fast, its only like 33 sleeps away!!! Where has this year gone? I feel like i have missed bits and peices - my boys are growing so fast at a rate that i can't keep up with! Jarred will be 7 in the early part of the year! 7! whoah..... How did i become the mother of a nearly seven year old boy?? I really don't feel my age! lol

Today is the teachers strike, but My SIL did say she seen on the news late last night that it was cancelled at the eleventh hour. I wonder if thats right. I have one of my nephews here who stayed over the night. They are all happly playing outside whilst i type.... i'll see how long that last till someone comes in crying! ha ha ha. They have also been up since the crack of dawn - gggrrrrr!

Ive planned for them today to make little christmas puddings - fake ones made out of Royals melted white chocolate and cut up Glaced cherrys. I did see a version made with jaffas and spearmint leaves - i wish i had seen that before i bought all the goodies! Oh well I will have to do the good scrapping mum thing and take photos to post!

I was the bad scrapping mum last weekend - we bought a hydroslide for our boys and all the neices and nephews on Michaels side were down last weekend so we had it out. Jarred got on it and took to it like a duck to water!!! He done so good - i was very proud! But i didn't take my camera :( Bad Bad me. Next time.

On that note I better go check on the little treasures.....

Ok so its taken me wwwwaaaayyyy to long to get myself a blog. I just want to keep this as a sort of time capsule. A diary of my little family so i don't forget the small stuff. Maybe i should rename it small stuff...... Will have to think about that one. Will keep it short and sweet as i have lots to do today. Will also post layouts and photos of my 3 gorgeous boys.
